For an immersive insight into Aboriginal culture and traditions, Firescreek Botanical Winery in Holgate hosts authentic experiences led by an Elder. An incredible journey marries ancient wisdom with award-winning fruit wines; discover what lies in store at this enriching and enlightening morning out.

What can you expect from the Firescreek Aboriginal Storytelling and Wine Tasting Experience?

Held on the idyllic grounds of Firescreek winery, the Aboriginal Storytelling and Wine Tasting Experience will unfold over 90 minutes. Met by an Aboriginal Elder, you will feel enchanted by their art of storytelling and learn about their rich heritage and traditions. Feel soothed by the vibrations of a digeridoo and enlivened by the sound of a clapping stick.

After examining Aboriginal tools and artefacts, an Elder will introduce you to seasonal native Australian plants from a coolamon bowl which you can taste. Alongside them, Firescreek’s winemaker is also on hand to show you the amazing botanicals and flora that go into making their wines. Not made with grapes, Firescreek’s unique wines are lovingly crafted with fruit like Tasmanian blueberries, apples and nectarines and then infused with botanicals such as violet, elderflower and lavender.
