The Wallbox Pulsar Plus comes with output ranges of 7.4kW and 22kW, depending on your home’s power supply and your required charging speed. There are two charging modes to choose from. If solar compatibility is enabled, the Full Green Mode allows your car to charge solely with renewable energy, optimising the charge rate based on available renewable energy. On the other hand, the Eco Mode harmoniously combines grid power with green energy, offering flexibility without compromising on that all-important sustainability.
There’s also a Power Boost option to ensure optimal power distribution among the charger and other devices in your home. It works by automatically adjusting the power to enhance your charging experience. For such a small unit, the Pulsar Plus’ number of functions is impressive.
Technology
Connectivity is a key feature of the Pulsar Plus, with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi enabling control via the Wallbox app. This app provides comprehensive functionality, including scheduling charging, viewing charging history and accessing real-time data. From the app, you can control it anytime and anywhere. Plus, in just one or two taps, you can schedule your charging sessions during off-peak energy periods to maximise savings. The app is clean, well designed and desirably responsive.
The overall user experience with the Wallbox Pulsar Plus is highly intuitive, thanks to its user-friendly design and the Wallbox app’s remote control features. For additional ease of use, it can be voice control enabled with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant devices.
Design & Build
If you’re tight on space or don’t want an intrusive EV charger, you’ll love the Pulsar Plus’ small size and neat design. The small box takes up very little space, and the plug and cable holder means you can stow all the kit tidily when not being used. The sturdy rubber grip on the connector is a real bonus for comfort and security.
