As a community, we are striving to reduce emissions in the ACT and surrounds and our region has one of the highest rates of EV ownership in the country. With the number of EVs set to dramatically increase, so is the expected demand for charging solutions.
Promote your location through online charging maps and EV tourist drives. Attract new visitors and increase the average length of time spent at your site.
As primary providers of the ACT’s EV charging infrastructure, ActewAGL’s Energy Solutions Team can help tailor your EV solution to your needs and provide a quote allowing you to submit your grant application.

ActewAGL approached Hamilton’s Queanbeyan Motel (HQM) to bring awareness to the NSW Government EV Destination Charging grant. The team at HQM successfully obtained a grant for two Ocular dual tower chargers along with billing software, and ActewAGL was able to facilitate installation.
“Since we’ve done the upgrades, including the EV chargers, our business has built up a customer base who love the property,” shared HQM owner, Jag. “The motel has shifted from a 2.5 star property with average occupancy of 55%, to 4.5 stars and 85% occupancy. We’ve had over 400 Google reviews with a very high average rating.”
Working together, we’re able to help businesses embrace sustainability, facilitate the increased adoption of EV charging infrastructure, and support regional tourism.
